uvn Acres began when we moved from a two-story house in the city to a fixxer-upper in the country.
Barren, empty, hopeless it seemed at times. It is funny to review the photos of how it all looked in the beginning. Little by little, plants were added, things were changed, and many a rock was hauled. The result became an abundance of greenery and quite a rewarding site in full bloom. We've created this site to share this bounty with the rest of the gardening world!

We're proud to be 'backyard' gardeners! Many big nurseries hire help at low wages. They often muse and laugh at little gardens such as ours, calling us 'backyard gardeners'. We find this to be quite a compliment, thank you!
